Electric Vehicles Grant

You can get a discount on the price of brand new low-emission vehicles through a grant the government gives to vehicle dealerships and manufacturers.

You do not need to do anything if you want to buy one of these vehicles – the dealer will include the value of the grant in the vehicle’s price.

The grant will pay for 35% of the purchase price for electric cars, up to a maximum of £3,000.

Electric mopeds, motorbikes, vans and trucks are also covered by the grant scheme and details can be found at: www.gov.uk/plug-in-car-van-grants

The grant will pay for 20% of the purchase price for electric vans, up to a maximum of £8,000.
