This year’s Suffolk Walking Festival is hoping to exceed last year’s success by building on the 24 million footprints left across the county!

For 2019 an amazing array of walks and events will be available, allowing you to discover parts of Suffolk you may never knew existed. Short walks, long walks, walks with a sheepdog, walks with a boat cruise, walks with a jeep ride, walks with owls and walks with nightjars. There’s a night safari, a wild crafting day, tales by the riverbank, and art and photography workshops. There’s murder, myths and magic too! And there’s the annual Challenge Walk which this year follows the East Suffolk Line Walks, 80 miles in 5 days between Lowestoft and Ipswich.

Launching on Saturday 11th May at 10:00am at the magical West Stow Country Park, home to one of Britain’s oldest settlements. There will be 2 Launch Jaunts on the day, one of which will explore the Anglo Saxon village, the other will venture on to the Icknield Way, Britain’s oldest recorded road.

Tickets are now live and the Walking Festival brochure hits the newstands very soon. Subscribe to the newsletter and keep an eye on social media Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for up to date news.

We look forward to seeing and walking with you on the 2019 Suffolk Walking Festival between Saturday 11th May and Sunday 2nd June 2019!
